International Play Company Inc (“the Company”, or “IPC”) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Iplayco Corporation Ltd. a publicly traded company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V:IPC).

We manufacture custom designed children’s indoor and outdoor play structures from our plant in Langley, British Columbia, Canada.

Our operations were established in 1999 by co-founders Franco Aquila and Scott Forbes who each have over 20 years of experience in the design, manufacturing and installation of indoor and outdoor play structures. Our 100% North American built play structures adhere to the highest quality North American and International Standards for design, structural integrity, product safety, and installation requirements. We build play structures that are safe for our children, so that you don’t have to worry about your child’s safety.

Our products are sold and installed worldwide. Our customer base includes family entertainment centers, theme parks, shopping malls, day care centers, fitness clubs, municipalities and other not for profit organizations.

Four major factors are considered in each design the company produces, they are:

  • Physical Development– during play children develop critical gross (physical mobility and muscle control) and fine motor skills (eye-hand coordination). Play helps to individually improve agility, balance, flexibility and overall strength.
  • Cognitive Development– play provides beneficial input for a child’s brain; it helps lead to discovery, verbal judgment and reasoning as well as the development of manipulative skills, creativity and thought processes.
  • Emotional Development– research continues to show that play is essential to healthy emotional development. Benefits of play include a greater sense of happiness, feelings of power over the environment, emotional awareness and increased sensitivity to others.
  • Cultural Development– play is vital in helping children learn social and cultural rules of interaction, and develop appropriate cooperation skills. These social life skills are developed through play and give children a solid foundation to build upon as they mature.

We follow the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Disabilities Act (ADA), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), TUV America, Standard Safety Performance Specifications for Soft Contained Play Equipment (F1918-98), Consumer Product Safety Commission Guidelines, Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), and Canadian Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) guidelines for playground safety, We are proud of our safety record, and we are  CPRA Certified Safety Inspectors.
